Here’s our list of some of the biggest tuition-friendly companies out there:
In June 2014, Starbucks launched their Starbucks College Achievement Plan (SCAP) in partnership with Arizona State University.
Both eligible full- and part-time employees who have worked for three months and at least 20 hours per week can receive full tuition reimbursement for every year of college to earn their first bachelor’s degree.
Full tuition coverage is available for all four years of study with no commitment to stay with Starbucks after graduation. How awesome is that?!
Bonus: If the employee happens to be a military member or veteran, Starbucks will offer the same SCAP benefit to a qualifying family member of their choice — aka send your child to college for free!
In 2014, UPS provided $16 million in tuition support to about 14,000 students, and since the program started in 1999, they have given over $200 million in tuition assistance.
In a part-time position, you can get tuition help thanks to the Education Assistance program earning $5,250 per calendar year with a lifetime maximum of $25,000 in assistance. Eligibility beings the day you’re hired.
Additionally, employees can take advantage of UPS training programs for career advancement within the company.
Any employee with six months of continuous service who also works an average of 10 hours a week — as well as full-time employees — are eligible to participate in Publix’s tuition reimbursement program.
Classes that directly affect your ability to perform the current job and occupational or technical programs to help prepare you for a future role within the company are covered.
Employees enrolled in a four-year college or university may be reimbursed up to $3,200 annually, with a lifetime limit of $12,800.

Full-time employees with at least six months of service are eligible for the Tuition Reimbursement Program which covers 90% of certain costs up to $10,000 per year. These courses must be at an accredited college or university that is work-related or part of a work-related degree or certification program.
Bonus: Fidelity will offer a $2,000 annual contribution up to $10,000 to help pay down student loans.
Employees wishing to expand their education can take advantage of Procter & Gamble’s tuition reimbursement program that offers 80% reimbursement of pre-approved tuition and fees with a lifetime cap of $40,000 (wow!).
Courses/programs must be related to current or potential positions within the company.
While the J.M. Smucker career & benefits page is somewhat sparse on the exact details and requirements as to how their tuition assistance program works, they do state that they offer employees up to 100% reimbursement of tuition costs for company-approved college courses along with offering a renewable $3,000 scholarship program for children of employees.
8. Deloitte offers full tuition reimbursement for graduate studies after two years of employment.
While their site provides little detail on their regular Tuition Reimbursement Program, Glassdoor reports that the reimbursement program is $10,000 a year after one year of employment.
However, for “top performing professionals,” Deloitte offers a Graduate School Assistance Program that offers participants full tuition reimbursement after two years of employment — postgraduate school — along with a “technology allowance” for computer-related purchases, and an opportunity to return as a Senior Consultant. Deloitte also negotiates discounts for graduate school entrance exam preparation classes.
Bonus: Deloitte offers a student loan consolidation and refinancing program in which employees can combine their existing loans into a single loan with one monthly payment.
9. AT&T offers $20,00-$25,000 maximum in tuition reimbursement after one year of work.
After one year with the company, non-management employees are eligible for numerous degree programs including management, human resources, marketing, business, communications, economics and more.
AT&T will pay up to $3,500 per year for approved courses and other related expenses. Undergraduate students can receive up to $20,000 in tuition assistance in a lifetime, and those obtaining a graduate degree can receive up to $25,000 during their time with the company.
Associates who have been employed for six months and work at least 20 hours a week are eligible for these perks. Students must attend an accredited school listed in the American Council on Education publication.
Under this program, 100% of tuition-related expenses — up to $5,250 per year — will be reimbursed for both undergraduate and graduate programs.
BP offers an Educational Assistance Program that assists employees with education that “benefits both the employee and the Company.”
Full-time employees are eligible for education assistance immediately upon hire, and BP offers up to 90% reimbursement of tuition, books and other qualified expenses through an accredited institution up to a maximum of $5,250 annually.
If you’re interested, keep in mind you must get approval before registering and must complete courses with a “C” or higher or a “Pass” grade to be eligible for reimbursement.
Bonus: BP also covers proficiency exams like the CLEP and will reimburse a license or certification test fee (a test to become a certified public accountant or licensed to practice law), provided the employee passes said test or exam.
Raytheon’s educational assistance program provides employees reimbursement for approved courses and accredited certificate/degree programs relevant to their position within the company.
Full-time employees are eligible for up to $10,000 in assistance each year.
Raytheon also provides scholarships for employees’ children through their Raytheon Scholars Program.
In 2015, Verizon provided $94.1 million in tuition assistance to their employees. According to Verizon’s Tuition Assistance Program, employees can get reimbursement and assistance for approved courses or degree programs taken through an accredited institution.
Eligible employees can receive $8,000 a year towards a degree or certificate to help further their career with Verizon, intimating that employees might need to take appropriate business-related classes to qualify.
Chevron employees can receive educational support benefits up to 75% of the costs of tuition, books, and qualified fees for approved courses.
An employee writing on Glassdoor notes that to qualify for Chevron’s tuition support, your education must be relatable to your position or career plans for a future position within the Company.
Bonus: Chevron offers a college scholarship program for dependents.
15. Fiat Chrysler Automobiles will pay up to $5,000 in tuition assistance for job-related courses.
The UAW-Chrysler Tuition Assistance Program (TAP) offers eligible, active employees tuition assistance when taking job-related courses through accredited educational institutions that have been pre-approved by the TAP committee. Payment for tuition and fees is made directly to the institution by voucher or as a reimbursement to the employee.
If qualified, employees receive up to $5,000 per year for tuition and fees, including a $200 book allowance for degree related books.
Bonus: Dependents of eligible Fiat Chrysler employees are also eligible for a scholarship.
Comcast’s Education Assistance Program will reimburse approved tuition, books, and other fees up to $5,000 per year. The program is offered to all full-time employees who have been employed for at least six months and who have completed a TAP-funded class.
Employees must stay with Comcast for at least one year or reimburse the company for the cost of the class.
Eligible employees may receive reimbursements based on the approved program of study. For continuing education, two-year degrees, four-year undergraduate degrees or certified programs, employees may get up to $5,250 per year.

Tuition reimbursement is offered to Home Depot associates after 90 days of service. Part-time hourly employees in this program receive up to $1,500 per year, full-time hourly employees receive up to $3,000 per year, and salaried employees up to $5,000 per year.
Half of their reimbursement goes toward books and course fees, and the other half covers tuition-related fees.
To be eligible, you must be an active, full-time employee working at least 32 hours a week and have completed six months of employment.
Best Buy will reimburse up to $3,500 per year for approved expenses and $5,250 for graduate-level course work.
Full-time and part-time employees at Chipotle are eligible for the Educational Assistance Program offered through Guild Education that provides up to $5,250 in tuition assistance and up to $5,185 in federal grants each year.
Plus, you can earn a third of your degree without going into a classroom, ever! Every time you get a promotion, you’ll earn credit hours towards the degree.
A full-time employee who has worked at least 180 days is eligible.
Baxter’s Educational Assistance Program will reimburse up to $5,250 per year for undergraduate courses at an accredited college.
They also offer another program, which requires a manager’s approval, that can provide tuition assistance for graduate coursework.
All regular, full-time employees are eligible to participate in the Education Tuition Reimbursement Program. The course of study must be related to your current job or anticipated job within the company, and you must pass the course with a grade of a “B-” or better.
While there’s not much information as to the maximum limit or what is considered “eligible tuition expenses,” we do know Wells Fargo will offer up to $5,000 annually as well as scholarship opportunities for your children.
There are several scholarships offered each year, and they range from $1,000 to $3,000.
